THE QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK.
Short answers on same-day junk removal, upfront pricing, and what we take. Numbers live on the pricing page; the full haul list is on services.
Can you do same-day junk removal?
Often. Text a photo early and if there’s room on the truck we come out the same day, mornings, evenings, and weekends included. If today’s full, we tell you the next open slot when we send the price, so you’re never guessing.
Do I need to be home?
Not for curbside. For inside jobs, someone needs to let us in. Not home and the pile is bigger than the photo? We text you the new number and wait for your yes before we load anything. Items at the curb, in the driveway, or in an open garage are fine to haul while you’re at work. We text when we’re on the way and send a photo of the cleared spot when we’re done.
What do you take, and what won’t you take?
Furniture, appliances, mattresses, electronics, yard debris, construction debris, hot tubs, sheds, whole garages. Fridges, freezers, and AC units are fine; the refrigerant is handled through certified recycling. We don’t take hazardous waste (liquid paint and stain, chemicals, solvents, pesticides), asbestos, medical waste, fuel, oil and propane tanks, fluorescent tubes in bulk, ammunition or fireworks, or anything actively leaking. Dried-out latex cans are fine. Sedgwick County runs a free household hazardous waste drop-off for residents, so that material has a home. It just isn’t our truck. Full list on the services page.
How do you come up with the price?
By how much room your stuff takes in the truck. Single item from $75, quarter truckload from $129, half truckload from $229, full truckload from $399. Heavy material like concrete, dirt, brick, shingles, and tile is quoted by weight up front, because the landfill charges us by the ton. Your price is confirmed before we load a single item. No fuel fees, no surprise add-ons. If the pile matches the photo, the price matches the text. If the number changes at the door and you say no, we leave and you owe nothing. No charge for the trip out, no deposit, nothing owed. See what moves the number.
How do I pay?
Card or cash on the spot. Venmo or Zelle if you’d rather. You pay when the job’s done and you’ve looked it over.
Do you donate or recycle?
First, before anything goes to the landfill. Usable furniture and working appliances go to local donation outlets, metal and electronics go to recyclers, and only the leftovers go to the transfer station. Sedgwick County has no landfill of its own; trash is trucked about 40 miles to a landfill in Harper County, so every load we divert is one less on that road.
Are you licensed and insured?
Kansas LLC. General liability insurance on every job. Certificate of insurance emailed on request before we come out. Hall Hauling Co. is a Wichita family business, not a franchise. A Hall answers the phone. More on the about page.
Do you work with contractors, landlords, or businesses?
Yes. Construction debris removal for contractors, move-out cleanouts and rental cleanouts for landlords and property managers, office and storage cleanouts for businesses. Construction debris is priced the same for a contractor as for anyone: light debris by the truckload, concrete, brick, shingles, and dirt by weight, one firm number before we load. Text or email what you have going on. One phone number, one firm price per job.
